The challenge

The K Show is the world’s number one trade show for plastics and rubber. As a plastics specialist, Maguire Products Ltd wanted our insight into developing new animations for their stand.

It’s commonplace with events where a new idea or simply different priorities mean little time to get something shiny and new, ready for exhibition; there was an extremely tight turnaround to complete two very different videos for the show.

Challenging the status quo and the typical showreels Maguire had used before. These were much more styled as a “PowerPoint”, being a universally understood way of sharing information.

Our solution

We wanted to grab attention and the strength in relationship between DURTY and Maguire enabled us to empower their marketing department to step away from safety and move towards excitement. Change can be scary but it’s a necessity in keeping present and relevant to target audiences.

Can plastics be sexy?

The two minute master showreel, with a dark background stripped of all USP’s other than core messages, pulls the attention of passers by. Breaking through the noise of a large trade show can be difficult without spending more on floor space or installations. Getting attendees interested is the first step in creating potential new business connections.

Getting creative with trade show stands is just as important for creating new leads. Making the most out of space or just having a different design to the majority may mean displays are also a little less ordinary.
